Mr. Miya has four years of professional experience in construction management, specializing in schedule delay and impact analyses for government contracts, and the analysis of construction project costs. He joined LitCon as a Consultant after working with a general contractor specializing in historic reconstruction.
Areas of Expertise
Mr. Miya conducts analyses of project critical paths and compares as-planned to as-built schedules to identify causes of project delay for government agencies, private owners, contractors, and design professionals. He is proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera and MS Project. He has performed detailed analyses of schedule delays, certified payrolls, and has tracked equipment costs on multiple projects. He also has aided in the development of expert reports, assisting with document review, attachments, and graphics.
Mr. Miya has provided on-site project and cost management during the construction phase of a project. He has worked closely with both project owners and contractors on tracking schedule updates, extra work authorizations, project estimating and bids, requisitions and invoicing, submittals and requests for information, commissioning, maintaining project punch lists, and assisting in project closeout. At the general contractor, he managed projects of up to $50 million in contract value. His experience encompasses a wide variety of construction projects and government contracts, including both commercial and infrastructure projects.
